Searching for the context and history of the rat nest is a very delicate subject, even within the local authorities, but we tried to organize everything we discovered over the years while studying.
Before any rat, there was another city called "Pugtown", it was supposed to be a game entirely made on powerpoint, but it didn't went anywhere, as it was something very hard to do. It may not seem like it, but a lot of what would become this today, can be found in this project.
After many dog years, the few survivors of Pugtown would eventually evolve until they became rats. This new population, then found the perfect apartment to eat the walls of and form a secret civilization.
This first wave, denominated "Mouse Mouse", much closer from nowadays, would also be a game (this time on unity), in which the player would control a "mouse" with the mouse (genious). After a year, this project was also cancelled, because it needed a lot of programming.
Exactly in this next period, there is a hole in our archives, it is believed that an "incident" happened, which led to the complete destruction of the city. However, nobody really knows what happened, and those who know refuse to recall the tragedy.
With that, we got where we are now. The construction works to ease the damage, the people are settling themselves again, and the police keeps investigating to better understand our culture and catch those who go against it..
